BEL Rotary Club is putting on its 33rd annual Polar Plunge on Sat, Feb 3rd at 2 pm sharp on Chemong Lake outside Peterborough. Since this seems to be the longest one in Ontario and maybe Canada, I thought you might like to do a story. There is a link to the 2012 event on www.belrotary.com Jay Scotland, CBC weatherman, jumped several times. I am jumping this year to celebrate my 70th year birthday raising funds for End Polio Now campaign. Our MPP Dean Del Mastro jumped several years ago. People raise funds for many causes this way - in 2011 total raised was over $84,000. I thought you might like to do a story on this since it's been going more than a generation. Lots of stories here.
