Essex Kent Sledge Hockey Team now in First Place in the Ontario Sledge Hockey As

Following a 7 to 2 win against The London Blizzard the Essex-Kent Ice Bullets Junior Development team is now in first place in Ontario. The team, of mostly physically disabled athletes, came out strong in the first period scoring 3 goals by brothers Matt and Sean Alzner. Great goal tending by Trajan Petkovic kept the lead through the second period. London got on the board late in the second and attempted to rally in the 3rd, but the wide open end to end battles allowed for the Ice Bullets to score 4 more solidifying there win. The home game was payed at Amherstburgs Unitited Community Credit Union Complex , which since built with consultation with the club regarding accessibility the Club has called there home. Canadian National Sledge Team players that are with the Club boast it is the best arena for sledge between here and Vancouver. The Ice Bullets Sledge Hockey Club is a parasport sledge hockey club with physically disabled athletes and able bodied athletes. This is their 3rd season in the Ontario Sledge Hockey Association with a junior team and each year they have improved. The Ice Bullets next game is in Hamilton where they will play the Sledgehammers.
