At our Day care, Les Zamidoux in Greenfield Park Quebec, we get the kids on our back yard skating rink as early as possible. For the youngest ones 18 months we use a ball to get them to focus on something besides falling…and it really works! By the time they reach 4-5 years old, they’re real pros, ready to enjoy winter for the rest of their lives. Who knows ,one day some of them could go all the way to the NHL and get locked out too!
