My brother Mark, the voice of the Argos

Although I've enjoyed the odd BC Lions game throughout my lifetime, my brother Mark considered the Argos 'His Argos', so my story is Mark's story. A longtime radio announcer who's job truly was his passion, he had the good fortune to be the 'Voice of the Argos' for many years, doing the play-by-play announcing. His career name was 'Marc Chambers'. He died at 52 of colorectal cancer, and we were blown away at his funeral by how loved he was in the industry...and there were many Argos at his funeral, some of whom spoke so eloquently & from the heart about my big brother. We have photos of Mark with Pinball, the cheerleaders, the players, but my all time favourite is him with the Grey Cup. I don't know the year, but the joy in the faces of the players, including Mark as 'one of the boys' epitomizes what he & the Argos meant to each other.
