When a tree comes down, you might think it's ready for firewood. But on our stunning West Coast, John Lore decided that he would rather see those trees become beautiful tables. When a tree falls, local neighbours call with their tree stories ("You should see how huge it is!"), and John decides if he can make something with it.

Then he starts the process of milling, drying, cutting, planing, and finishing. The table is truly a work of art, nature and man both doing their part.
