On the Sunday morning of the first weekend in March a London, ON group of reenactors sets out and marches along the Longwoods road for 7km. The march recreates the march that British soldiers took on March 4th, 1814 to stop the US forces that had invaded Southwestern Ontario. The recreated march ends at the original Battle of Longwoods site where a memorial service is held. The service is done in cooporation with the local historical societies and puplic. During the service the names of those killed during the battle are read. Once the service is over the United Church in Wardsville, On holds a luncheon for the public and participants.
